However, natural wildfire is an essential and important natural process in nature and many plants rely on fire for growth, reproduction, and more. Join Devani Jolman, a PhD candidate at Old Dominion University, to learn about the natural fire regime, the history of human’s role in fire, the danger of modern wildfires, and the importance of natural wildfire for many ecosystems, including Longleaf Pine in Virginia.
