Norfolk Botanical Garden hosted the first-ever Diversity Gallery in the Baker Hall Visitor Center in the months of January and February 2024. The Diversity Gallery had over 80+ pieces of art from 26 local diverse artists. Here at NBG we believe art and nature go hand in hand.

Community holds a profound significance at the Norfolk Botanical Garden. The Garden serves as a vibrant tapestry woven by the threads of collective belonging and shared stewardship. It is a sanctuary where individuals converge to forge connections not only with the splendid flora that adorns the grounds but also with one another. The garden fosters a sense of unity, becoming a space where diverse backgrounds and perspectives converge to celebrate the beauty of nature. Whether through educational programs, volunteer initiatives, or serene walks amidst the blossoms, the Norfolk Botanical Garden weaves together a mosaic of relationships, nurturing a spirit of togetherness that enriches both the soul and the earth. 

As we continue in our commitment to lead the way in representing diversity, equity, and inclusion in our community, it is paramount to us that the Garden of Tomorrow represent a Garden for All.
