Agriculture Research and Extension Center Field Trip

The demonstration gardens at the Virginia Tech Hampton Roads Agricultural Research & Extension Center (AREC) in Virginia Beach have been welcoming visitors for 51 years. There are now 31 gardens including two arboretums and two trails. Join Dr. Laurie Fox for a little history and a lot of beautiful flowers on a walk and talk through the gardens. This tour involves a moderate amount of walking. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. If it’s raining, the tour will be virtual in room 125 at the AREC. Participants will receive information on where to meet after registration.
