One of the most popular perennials for shadier gardens are hostas. There are varieties with big and bold foliage that can either be blue, green, yellow, white, or variegated. There are also cute miniature hostas perfect for smaller gardens or containers. Norfolk Botanical Garden is a National Display Garden for the American Hosta Society.
