In this class we will discuss the different classes of roses, including species roses and hybrids, their incredible diversity and their uses in the garden. We will consider flower shape, perfume, color and growth from miniatures to gigantic ramblers. After a slideshow and discussion, we will take a short walk in the fall-season Rose Garden. At the end of the class, you will have vocabulary and an overview of these tough beautiful plants to help you define your preferences.
