Small Trees for Today’s Garden
with Director of Horticulture Les Parks
Date/TimeSaturday, August 27
9:30 am - 11:30 am
While we should all be planting as many trees as possible right now, sometimes there just isn’t enough room for a large shade tree, especially given today’s smaller house lot sizes. This class will explore smaller trees that are well suited to the climate in Coastal Virginia, many of them have wonderful flowers, foliage, or fruit. Quite a few of the trees discussed will be native, offering benefits to local wildlife.
