Come learn about moths beginning with an indoor presentation slide show of many local moths and how to attract them. There will also be mounted specimen displays of both local and tropical moths as well as live moth caterpillars. A Q and A session will follow the presentation. Participants will then move outside to see what species of moths are attracted to sheets using both UV and mercury vapor lights. A bait station will also be set up for moths that are not particularly attracted to lights and the use of a blacklight flashlight will be shown as a way to locate caterpillars.
