Make plans now to celebrate Valentines Day with a loved one with something different!  Flowers and Chocolate are very nice, but they don’t last.  Celebrate this extra special day with a wonderful, fun, creative, artistic experience you will always remember!  We will begin the night by drawing our partner using a technique called Semi-Blind Contour Line Drawing in the style made famous by artist Elizabeth “Grandma” Layton.  Once we have our sketch, we will enhance our lines with markers and oil pastels.  We will have fun painting our portraits with watercolor and see the magic of Watercolor Resist as the paint flows over the oil pastel.  Next we will cut up our pieces, rearrange them, and glue them down onto matte board to create a Picasso inspired portrait!  Acrylic paint around the background will complete our portrait.  This workshop will be filled with fun and laughter!  If you don’t have a partner to bring- no worries- you can have fun painting yourself or another new friend at the Botanical Gardens!

All supplies included.
