Using two wonderful books by Joel Harper\, discover the answer to the question does trash left on the ground really go all the way to the ocean?\, explore what a watershed is\, and create something out of materials that have been discarded as trash. Along the way\, we will find alternatives to some of the plastics that we use and discard every day. This is an in-person program that is free with Garden admission. No problem! After you purchase your kit\, email youthed@nbgs.org with the date you will be available to come to the Garden to collect the kit. \n\nNOTE ON FACE COVERINGS DURING KIT PICK-UP:\nIn compliance with Virginia’s Governor’s Executive Order 63\, NBG commits to the following: \n\nAll guests and volunteers ages 5+ are required to wear a protective mask that covers the mouth and nose when entering any NBG building or structure including outdoor restrooms.\nOur youngest visitors\, “Sprouts” over the age of two\, are strongly encouraged to wear a mask in compliance with current CDC health and safety recommendations.\nGuests are asked to bring their own personal facemask.
