LED and Birds Class

LED and Birds Class

With Liz Paiste with Citizens for Responsible Lighting and Pat Scanlon with Cape Henry Audubon Society

Date/Time
Tuesday, July 29
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Bird Safe/Lights Out Hampton Roads is an initiative that encourages high rise building managers and home owners to turn off or dim their lights during migration spring and fall. Light pollution draws birds into the city wherein they collide with building and windows. Solutions to mitigate bird strikes at home and at the office will be discussed. Citizens for Responsible Lighting will review the impact of outdoor artificial lights, specifically high-intensity LED lights, on our health and ecosystem when improperly implemented. We will also review lighting solutions for a healthier and safer environment.
