Nature Education Program

Date/Time
Saturday, July 26
10:00 am - 11:30 am

Join us for our Jr Master Gardeners series! The Junior Master Gardener (JMG) program is an innovative 4-H gardening program for children, families, and adults. JMG engages children and their attending chaperones in “hands-on” group and individual learning experiences that promote a love of gardening, develop an appreciation for the environment, and cultivate the mind.

Do you know the differences between an herb, a spice, and a vegetable? In this specialty class, we will explore the different edible parts of plants and how that distinguishes what kind of herb, spice, vegetable, or fruit you are eating. Recommended for children ages 3-6 with caregiver assistance. All attending adults and children are required to have a registered ticket.

This class includes tasting components from the WOW Children’s Garden raised beds learning area. If you or your child have any concerns regarding food allergies or aversions, you are advised to notify WOW staff and to not participate in the sampling portion of the class.
