Have you wondered how bees and butterflies are able to find their favorite flowers? In this special pollinator-themed class, we will explore flower nectar guides and why certain flowers attract specific pollinators. Recommended for children ages 6-10 with some chaperone assistance. All attending adults and children are required to have a registered ticket. 

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

  • All participating children must have a paid, pre-registered ticket to attend the program.
  • All attending adults must have a registered ticket, including all free Member adult tickets.
  • Dressing for the weather and wearing comfortable walk shoes are encouraged.
  • Tickets must be pre-registered. Walk-up tickets the day of the class will not be available.
  • Program tickets include Garden admission.
  • Due to the elevated content of Homeschool Garden Science, chaperones are asked to not register children under age 6 to participate in the program. Pre-K aged children (ages 3-6) are recommended to participate in the Jr Master Gardeners program on Saturday mornings.

Cost

Price for NBG Members: $12/Child. (Adult members may attend for free with a registered child).

Price for Not-yet Members: $20/Child and $18/Adult. (Tickets for class must be purchased for both children and adults and includes daytime admission to NBG).

All child class participants ages 3+ must have a registered ticket. Children ages 2 and under who are attending to participate in the class must have a registered ticket.

Spring Break at the Garden: Anticipate Your Visit

We anticipate increased visitation this week as schools are on spring break. Guests may experience wait times to enter the Garden during morning and afternoon hours. Our staff is dedicated to accommodating all visitors promptly to ensure everyone can enjoy the beauty of nature. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
