Join us for the fifth annual Garden Heritage Celebration. This year’s celebration will feature Dr. Tony Atwater, President of Norfolk State University, as the keynote speaker.
The event also includes God’s Trombones, NSU Chorale, Azalea tram tours and MC Regina Mobley, WVEC-TV.
This event began in 2009 with the unveiling of the commemorative sculpture Breaking Ground and dedication of the WPA Memorial Garden. The memorial honors and celebrates the contributions of the 220 African American workers whose labor created the Garden.
Complimentary admission to the Garden between 10 and 11 a.m. Regular Garden admission applies before and after.
