Soap Making Workshop

Handmade soaps make wonderful gifts and add a touch of luxury to your washroom or bath.  Learn everything you need to know to begin crafting your own homemade natural soaps. Students will learn this new skill with individualized instruction and recipes from soap maker Jennie Steele.  The following week participants will return to the Garden to pick up their hand-made soaps.

All supplies included. 

Pre-registration required.  This is an adult education program.  Participants must be 16 year old or older.  Children aged 14-15 may attend when registering and attending with an adult.

Soaps made in this workshop will contain the following ingredients: Lye (Sodium Hydroxide), Vinegar (Neutralizes Lye), Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Lard or Vegetable Shortening, Castor Oil, Essential/Fragrance Oils (EO/FO).  If you have an allergy to any of the above ingredients, please notify the Education Office prior to registration.
