Photography Class – Wildlife Photography Workshop

Date and Time:
Date(s) - Saturday, September 29th, 2012
10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Ken Photography classes at the Garden are a great way to boost your photographic skills.  Join us for this one day workshop and you’ll be amazed by how your photos improve.  Learn the fundamentals of equipment, composition, depth of field, lighting, histogram and advanced techniques of digital wildlife photography during both classroom & field instruction with professional wildlife photographer Ken Conger.

Have you just bought or received a digital camera and enjoy photographing in the outdoors or do you have a good eye and the photo did not turn out right, than this seminar is for you.  This course is primarily suited for upper beginners or serious hobbyists who wish to take their nature photography to the next level and own something more than a point and shoot camera.  Class segments will concentrate on wildlife photography by teaching the fundamentals (equipment, composition, depth or field, lighting, histogram) and some advanced techniques of digital wildlife photography (location planning, concealment, traveling with gear).  This is a three-segment seminar.  Part one, will be classroom instruction.  Part two, is a field session with students taking photographs in the gardens and applying learned classroom essentials.  Part three, will be back in the classroom to review captured images and applying a digital workflow using Adobe Photoshop.  At the conclusion of this course students will have an understanding of the basic operations of their camera, understand photography terminology and most importantly what it takes for a good photo for both printing and the web.  During breaks and after the class, Ken will conduct portfolio reviews of attendees.

Requirements: Camera and manual.  A tripod and laptop with Adobe Photoshop installed would be helpful.
