This program, taught by Irene Hinke-Sacilotto, is designed for individuals with some basic familiarity with their digital photography who wish to deepen their understanding of their camera and improve their technique photographing flowers, butterflies, insects, frogs, and other creatures residing in Norfolk Botanical Garden. With the help of PowerPoint slides and image critiques, participants will gain a better understanding of close up photography techniques, composition, background control, effective use of lighting, equipment selecting, and exposure. Field practice will include the butterfly house and floral displays at Norfolk Botanical Garden. Daylilies, roses, hydrangea, flowering trees, and other plants will be in bloom in July. Limit to 8 participants for one-on-one assistance from the instructor in the field. This is a 2 day workshop: Friday 7-9 PM Saturday 7 AM-12:30 PM
