The presentation on Butterflies of the World will focus on the types of butterflies from multiple habitats around the world.  The presentation will not be scientific in nature but rather from the eyes and experience of a collector. Presentation topics will include butterfly: life cycle, habitats, size, flight characteristics, colorization and camouflage, mating, feeding habits, collecting/raising, displaying, framing, endangered species, varieties in Virginia, and many other topics. Over 500 types of framed butterflies will be displayed.

Mr. Masden has exhibited and sold butterflies locally at both the Boardwalk Art Show and Home and Garden Show.  He has lectured on butterflies at the Old Dominion University Institute for Learning in Retirement, and at many local schools, clubs and organizations.
