Those who are planning to see Poet Maya Angelou Thursday, May 2 at Chrysler Hall will have to hold off a little longer.
Angelou canceled her speaking event due to health reasons. She was scheduled to speak as part of the Norfolk Botanical Garden’s 75th Anniversary Celebration.
Angelou spent time in the hospital earlier this week and will be recovering in her North Carolina home for the next three-to-four weeks.
We have a tentative rescheduled date for Friday, June 21. More information to follow.
