Dicliptera suberecta
Uruguayan Firecracker was one of the most-talked-about plants in our Hummingbird Garden. Grey, felt-like leaves cover stems up to 24”; tubular, scarlet flowers add color and, as an added bonus, attract hummingbirds. Dry, sandy soils in blazing hot sun don’t faze this plant.
