Anemonella thalictroides
There may be no sweeter flower than the early spring native, rue anemone. In early to mid-spring, check out this star in the shade of the Virginia Native Plant Garden. In your own garden, make sure to mark the location where you plant them because these spring ephemerals don’t stay above ground for much longer than sweet days of spring. They love shade with plenty of moisture.
