NATUREKIDS Summer Camp

Join us for another fun spring and summer in the garden. With the central setting of WOW: A Children’s Adventure Garden, NatureKids camp offers countless opportunities to learn, play, and make new friends. With activities such as tram rides, nature hikes, and outdoor playtime the garden is the perfect setting for children to experience nature. So mark your calenders and sign up early for a summer of fun.
NatureKids Summer Camp is the place for outdoor exploration, friends and fun. Discover the magic of the Garden through expeditions, games, stories, songs and crafts while developing a greater appreciation for the natural world.
9 a.m.-4 p.m. Daily (Drop-off as early as 8:45)
Cost: $210/week ($190 NBG Members)
Ages 5-10 (campers must have completed Kindergarten or equivalent.)
Morning and afternoon snack provided. Campers bring their own lunches.
Cool Science: Concoctions and Contraptions
June 17-21
Mix ingredients to create gooey and useful mixtures. Explore the water cycle and use bubbles and ice as artistic mediums. Make erupting volcanoes and compete in an egg drop contest.

Animal Adventures – SOLD OUT
June 24-28
Meet the many critters that make the Garden home. Play bird bingo, scoop for pond creatures and take a peek underground.
Harry Potter Camp
Cost: $150 ($130 for NBG Members)
July 1-3
Explore the world of Harry Potter in this three-day camp. Learn potions, go on a magical creatures hike and play Quidditch.

July 8-12
Make the supplies and attire that every good pirate needs, then go on treasure hunts and explore garden waterways. Learn about the real and imagined creatures of nautical lore.

The Wizard of Oz Went to Hogworts and Wonderland with Dr. Seuss
July 15-19
The pages of your favorite stories come alive during this week. Compete for the House Cup at Hogworts, explore our Garden Wonderland and learn about the sweet treats that nature has to offer. Learn how Dr. Seuss’s stories are about both conservation and fun.

Cool Science: Plant Wizards
July 22-26
Experiment with all things natural. Take home potted plants, seeds and cuttings and earn a WOW Gardener certificate. Create science journals and make plant dyes, terrariums and paper.

County Fair Farm Week

Little Sprouts Pre-K Sessions
These “mini-versions” of each theme focus on engaging the imagination through play. Stories, songs and crafts bring the garden to life each week.
Hours: 9AM-12Noon (Drop off as early as 8:45)
Ages: 4-5 (Campers who attend Pre-K camp must be turning 5 by September 30 of the same year. Campers must be potty trained)

Specialty Camps
Garden Artists

Get creative in the Garden! Use natural materials to make paper, dye and sculptures. Use the garden as inspiration for photography, watercolors and other artistic mediums.

Leaders in Training
Dates: July 15-19
9 a.m.-4 p.m. Daily (Drop-off as early as 8:45)
Cost: $230 ($210 for NBG Members)
Ages: 11-14
Learn teambuilding games, play the Garden’s version of Survivor and make lanyards and other traditional camp crafts. Part of each day is spent in NatureKids camp shadowing Educators and “learning the ropes” of environmental education and leadership.

Garden to Table
Dates: July 22-26

Ages: 8-12
Cost: $230 ($210 for NBG Members)
Learn the basics of vegetable gardening and take home an herb container garden. Then head into the kitchen to make delicious garden treats with professionally-trained chef, Heidi Walker.
