Celebrating 75 Years

A Natural Beauty Full of History

Welcome to the 75th annIversary Page:
This year we are celebrating our history with a wonderful array of special events, activities, contests and more. Please enjoy and share with others.

Celebrate with Us

Our Garden has grown from its humble beginnings as a WPA project to a nationally recognized garden that attracts visitors from around the world. Today, Norfolk Botanical Garden includes 155-acres, with over 40 theme gardens that can be viewed by tram, boat or by foot. Some gardens focus on a single plant (camellias, hydrangeas, roses), others look at a plant from a specific region (from Virginia to Japan), while others provide homeowners with great ideas or new plants to use in their own garden.
